Announced signing of contract with New Car Co. uncertain
KRAGUJEVAC - Whether Zastava of Kragujevac will sign on March 31 the
spectacularly announced contract with the US company New Car Co. on the formation of a mixed firm, Zastava Motor
Works, at this moment is still uncertain.
Zastava says at this moment they have no information whether the signing will be delayed, and whether the US
company has secured the funds for investment in the joint firm. The firm form Kragujevac and New Car Co. signed last year a pre-contact on the formation of a joint firm when it
was promised that the contract will be signed by March 31 this year at the latest.
