Milk industry must change its production structure
Minister for Agriculture Dragan Veselinov claims the Government will help the milk industry through the use of additional import-tax protection but that it isn’t a long-term solution. The milk industry must develop it's product lines for more consumer choices. There is an insufficient production of enriched milks (multivitamin and multi-protein types), fruit yogurts, different greases, and a greater palette of quality cheeses.
In this year the Government will subvention 700 million liters of milk.
