Council of Europe to welcome S&M on April 3
STRASBOURG -- Tuesday – The Council of Europe has announced that Serbia-Montenegro will be invited to join the
organization as its 45th member.
In a statement this morning the Council announced that, following talks with Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic, the accession ceremony will take place on April 3, during the Parliamentary Assembly.
A post-accession program of cooperation and monitoring has been established by the Council of Ministers “to assist the country in fulfilling its commitments”.
