Economic negotiations stalled between union members
BELGRADE – Goran Pitic, Serbian Minister for Foreign Economic Affairs, today said that negotiations on the
harmonization of customs laws between Serbia and Montenegro have so far displayed no political readiness for continuity.
Commenting at a press conference toady, Pitic said: "Speaking about global
harmonization, the political will has been tested in talks with Montenegrin officials and we were assured about political readiness for
harmonization, but it has not resulted in concentration of necessary resources yet".
Insisting that the Serbian side has sent out clear signals that it will not tolerate stalling tactics indefinitely, Pitic announced that the talks would resume on Tuesday, when the Montenegrin side could “give us the answers we want”.
