1,000 dinar bill in circulation as of Monday
BELGRADE - The National Bank of Serbia issued on Monday a new banknote of 1,000 dinars, with the official denotations of the Serbian central bank and some slight changes, and by April 30 will be withdrawn coins of one, five, and ten dinars, governor Mladjan Dinkic said.
Dinkic said at a press conference that the coins in denominations of one, five and ten dinars, whose total weight is estimated at about 1.1 tons of metal, will be re-melted for minting one, two, five, 10 and 20 dinar coins with denotations of the National Bank of Serbia, Dinkic said.
