Dinkic says inflation rate to remain as planned if petrol price remains same
BELGRADE - Unless the price of crude oil on the world market registers a huge growth due to the war in Iraq, the inflation rate in Serbia will remain within the planned nine percent this year, National Bank of Serbia Governor Mladjan Dinkic said on Monday.
Prices of goods remained the same in March, while the prices of services registered a slight growth, so that the March inflation rate will be lower than the inflation rates registered in January and February, the governor told a news conference and added that the growth of the crude oil price could be the only factor that could have a negative effect on Serbia's inflation rate.
