EU Council of Ministers says Serbia-Montenegro's future lies in EU
BRUSSELS - The European Union Council of Ministers expressed Tuesday the firm EU commitment to helping the Serbia-Montenegro authorities by economic and political means in implementing reforms and accelerating the process of fostering closer ties with European structures, especially the EU.
In the conclusions adopted at its meeting on western Balkans, at which the EU High Representative for foreign policy and security Javier Solana and European Foreign Policy Commissioner Chirs Patten presented a report on their visit to Belgrade on March 13, the Council expressed support to a speedy integration of Serbia-Montenegro in the Council of Europe on the basis of commitments the CE has defined.
