Unemployed form Union, million people without work in Serbia
BELGRADE - The protection of the interests of unemployed workers and those who lost their jobs in the process of privatization, will be the main task of the Trade Union of Unemployed of Serbia, said on Friday officials of the Independent Trade Union of Serbia, within which will be formed the new trade union.
In Serbia about one million people are without work, and the economy is working at a 10 pct capacity, so that the new branch of the trade union of unemployed will most probably be the most massive part of the Independent Trade Union of Serbia, union president Milenko Smiljanic said.
