French and Serbian economic relations
There are 50 French companies in Serbia. Amongst French business leaders here are Societe General [banking – consumer and merchant], Lafarge [concrete – construction], Michelin [tires] and, Alcatel [telecommunications]. The opening of the first French supermarket is expected very soon. Imports from France were worth E188 million, exports to France were worth E82 million in the last year.
