Pitic welcomes US Congress decision
BELGRADE – Serbia’s international economic relations minister today greeted a US decision to
normalize trade relations with Serbia-Montenegro as a healthy sign of better economic cooperation ahead.
He told The Voice of America that the bill passed today by the US Congress House of Representatives would the end of local exporters’ struggle with high import taxes in the US market.
It would also mean a broader range of Serbian products on that market, he added.
“It is also a good signal to investors from both the US and Europe,” said Pitic.
