US changes strategy towards Serbia-Montenegro
Mt KOPAONIK - A US Congress decision to normalize commercial relations with Serbia and Montenegro will have the economic and political contexts, since the tariffs for the export of Serbia-Montenegro's products to the United States will be much lower and the country will no longer be in a circle of 10 countries with which the United States has severed commercial relations, Acting Federal Finance Minister Veroljub Dugalic told Tanjug on Thursday.
"This is part of an altered US strategy towards Serbia and Montenegro. In November 2002, the United States wrote off 66 percent of debt through the Paris Club of creditors, that is 51 percent or somewhat more than 350 million dollars at this moment," Dugalic said.
