Central Bank of Serbia to lower commissions
BELGRADE – The Central Bank of Serbia today announced the reduction of commissions in the sale of foreign currencies, effective as of tomorrow.
Governor Mladjan Dinkic said “The commission will be reduced from 0.8 to 0.15 per cent. It will only be increased by 2 per cent in the sale of dollars.”
Dinkic said that these measures were being taken to lessen the potential profit of street dealers and he also indicated that there would be new controls, "organized differently than in the past, which have nothing to do with the police".
