ECHO to wrap up its programmes, EU assistance to continue
BELGRADE - The European Union Humanitarian Office (ECHO) will finish its programmes in Serbia and Montenegro by the end of this year, but the European Union will continue its presence in the area by supporting economic recovery, head of the ECHO Mission in Belgrade Kevin Mannion told Tanjug on Saturday.
Europe will continue its presence here, Mannion said and added that the discontinuation of ECHO's programmes would just change the way for providing assistance, which would in future focus on supporting economic recovery.
