Law on national corporation for housing loans urgently needed
BELGRADE - The Regional Committee of the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Serbia and Montenegro on Friday backed an inititive by the Belgrade bank Komercijalna banka to limit the credit mass of commercial banks to 15 percent, and urged the urgent adoption of a law on a national corporation for providing guarantees for housing loans.
It was heard at the Association meeting in Belgrade that this limit would secure restructuring in favor of credits for production, especially the export-oriented, having in mind that the country's foreign trade deficit last year was about 3.5 billion dollars.
