Metalworking trade union of Belgrade announces mass strikes as of March 15
BELGRADE - Representatives of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Belgrade for the metalworking industry will give the government until March 15 to review their demands for the protection of domestic production and market as well as the metalworking industry workers, after which they would start with mass protests, calling for the government's resignation, the trade unions said on Wednesday.
President of the metalworking industry trade union's Belgrade city board Zika Milosevic said that the trade union had repeatedly informed the government about the difficult situation in the metalworking complex, but that the government's measures had only deteriorated the situation and brought these workers in an even more uncertain position as regards their sustenance.
