Dinar will be stable in 2003, with minimal fluctuations - NBS governor
BELGRADE - The exchange rate of the dinar will be stable this year and will remain within the limits of domestic inflation diminished by the average world inflation, ranging between plus and minus 7 percent, National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Governor Mladjan Dinkic said Monday.
Asked about the effects of the Iraqi crisis and the dollar's downward slide on the national currency, Dinkic told the press on the sidelines of a meeting of investors in Belgrade that effects are being felt by the domestic economy, since about 30 percent of Serbia's imports come from the dollar zone and 25 pct of its exports go to that zone.
