New Car Co. owner in Zastava Co. Monday
Belgrade - Malcolm Bricklyn, owner of New Car Co. says for 'Blic' daily that he is coming to Serbia Monday. He points out that this visit is only continuation of cooperation agreed in October last year. 'I do not expect that official agreement on purchase of Zastava Co. will be signed on this occasion', Bricklyn says.
'I have heard about Stevan Pokrajac, YuCan owner. He visited us saying he wanted to invest money in Zastava Co. We thought he was not a serious player. I hear now he intends to invest half a billion Dollars. I am really surprised. That is nothing serious'. Bricklyn says.
'There are many things to be done. Investments have to be made in equipment and staff. There are some outstanding experts in Zastava Co. but they have to be adequately paid. I am really glad that we are going to work together', Bricklyn points out.
'I am not at all worried about threats by BMW. The name 'Zastava - Motor Works' is quite o.k., my lawyer says. Alphabet is nobody's property. I would prefer that we be compared with BMW by the quality of cars', Bricklyn concludes.
