Switzerland and S&M sign financial partnership
BELGRADE - Switzerland and Serbia & Montenegro today signed an agreement on technical and financial cooperation making their cooperation in the field of democracy and finance official.
The agreement was signed in Belgrade.
Joint programs are to be realized through two Swiss Government institutions - the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Swiss state secretariat for economic affairs.
In the course of 2002 and 2003 the Swiss ministry approved five million Swiss francs through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation for programs in health and environmental protection.
Switzerland also funds refugee shelters in Serbia-Montenegro. The Agreement was signed by Federal Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic, deputy general director of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Swiss Ambassador to Yugoslavia Gaudenz Ruf.
