Slovene oil company plans expansion in Balkans
Petrol, Slovenia's largest supplier of fuel, plans to either buy or build 500 new petrol stations in the Balkans by 2010.
By doing this, it wants to take advantage of the growing market's potential. Petrol's General Director Janez Lotric said that the conditions for investments on the Balkan markets were improving and that the company had the necessary know-how to succeed on these markets.
Currently, Petrol owns 280 petrol stations in Slovenia, 18 in Croatia and 25 in Bosnia-Hercegovina, but now they intend to begin building petrol stations also in Serbia and later on also in Bulgaria and Romania.
