Coordinated customs duties condition for drawing closer to Europe, Blankert
PODGORICA - European Union deputy chief of mission of the European Union (EU) in Belgrade Jan Willem Blankert reiterated on Thursday that the coordination of customs duties between Serbia and Montenegro must be carried out if these countries want to accede to stabilization and association with the EU, and to begin negotiations with the World Trade Organization (WTO).
As long as Serbia and Montenegro have discrepancies in their trade systems it is not possible to sign an agreement on stabilization and association, or to negotiate with WTO, or to implement agreements on free trade with other countries, Blankert told the Podgorica Vijesti newspaper.
