No agreement with Government - Schools continue strike - Day 3
Serbia - According to information by Trade Union of Education, 634 schools in Serbia are on strike on the third day since its beginning.
'Sanctions that Serbian Ministry of Education announced against strikers have not frightened them but irritated them. Education workers are ready to start working immediately after increase of their salaries is approved', one trade union representative said.
The Ministry for Labor and Employment said that the strike was illegal since it had not been registered within legal time limit. Ministry of Education also considers strike illegal and threats that salaries will be decreased to all schools proportionally to number of not delivered classes.
