Serbia - market for substances for production of drugs
Belgrade - 'In Serbia and Montenegro there is presently free trade with substances that can be used in production of opiate drugs', Milos Knezevic, until recently secretary of the federal Secretariat for labor, health and social issues says for 'Blic' daily.
According to his words the trade with these substances known as 'pre-coursers' is not on a special customs regime, so-called LB1 which understands special license by several ministries when import, trade and production are concerned.
'In May 2001 we sent a request to Yugoslav Ministry for economic relations with abroad to put these substances under LB1 regime, however, there was no reaction from that ministry until the day of passing of the Constitutional Charter of Serbia and Montenegro', Knezevic says.
