Labus warns on budget deadlines
BELGRADE – The first week of March is the final deadline to revise Serbia-Montenegro’s budget for 2003, Deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus said today.
If the deadline is not met, warned Labus, payment of the third and fourth tranches of an IMF loan would be postponed.
Agreement has been reached on a memorandum of economic and financial assistance which is to be debated by the IMF board at its March 15 sitting.
“Labus added that a positive decision was expected because Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic had assured the board that draft changes would be debated in urgent procedure, said Labus.
