Outgoing NBY governor best candidate for Serbian central bank governor - Serbian finance minister
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of the Economy and Finance Bozidar Djelic said Sunday he considers the outgoing Yugoslav National Bank Governor Mladjan Dinkic the best candidate for the National (central) Bank of Serbia (NBS), and expressed hope that Dinkic would be elected to that office.
If institutions are not strong enough, persons are important, Djelic told BK TV, expressing hope that Serbian Premier Zoran Djindjic's reform team, comprising also federal Deputy Premier Miroljub Labus, and Dinkic, would remain in office for as long as possible, as Serbia has a shortage of brave, capable and competent technocrats.
