Speaker accused of abuse of authority
BELGRADE – Belgrade lawyer Svetozar Vujacic today filed a criminal complaint against the speaker of the Serbian Parliament alleging abuse of authority.
Vujacic claims that Micic yesterday abused her authority by declining to call presidential elections, despite being obliged by law to do so.
“By overstepping the boundaries of her authority and by failing to perform her duty in a legal and constitutional manner, Micic has grossly breached the rights of all citizens who planned to stand for president,” said Vujacic.
