Company lays criminal complaint against minister
CRVENKA – The Crvenka sugar refinery has filed a criminal complaint against Serbian Privatization Minister Aleksandar Vlahovic for abuse of his official position.
The company claims that Vlahovic has caused it damage by breaching privatization regulations and violated the rights of potential investors who planned to bed for seventy per cent of Crvenka’s public equity.
Vlahovic is alleged to have dissolved the tender board before it completed its work and unilaterally decided to sell the company to a Greek bidder.
The company has previously filed charges against Agriculture Minister Dragan Veselinov and other officials for forging official documents.
