Economic cooperation with Slovakia reduced to commodity exchange
BELGRADE - Economic cooperation between Serbia and Slovakia is lagging far behind their real potentials and is reduced to commodity exchange, whose quantity and value remain modest, it was agreed at a meeting of Slovak and Serb businessmen engaged in the power and metal industries and trade, held at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) on Thursday.
PKS presidential adviser Milenko Kasanin said other forms of cooperation were negligible, and that the basic obstacles to greater commodity exchange were insufficient knowledge about the offer country's businessmen, high customs rates, and relatively high and non-competitive prices of good of both states.
