USA Embassy stopped sale of 'Goc' enterprise
Belgrade - Serbian Agency for privatization sold at yesterday's public auction 70 per cent of capital of 11 enterprises for total 141,324 millions of Dinars.
Director of sector for auction sale confirmed rumors that privatization of 'Goc' had been postponed at request of American Embassy.
American citizen Radenko Stojakovic requested from the embassy to protect his nationalized ownership over 'Jadran' restaurant now owned by 'Goc' enterprise'. 'American Embassy intervened and we have to take that intervention seriously', this director said.
According to the latest news 'Goc' will be in auction scheduled for February 11. The Agency for privatization issued statement claiming that it had checked quotes by American Embassy and concluded that no irregularities were found in auction documentation. 'Jadran' hotel is owned by 'Goc' enterprise.
