World Bank, Serbian government to review success of projects
BELGRADE - During a meeting on Tuesday, World Bank and Serbian government experts will discuss the success of projects worth about 244 million dollars, credited by this international financial institution and on Wednesday they will focus on the strategy of reforms between 2004 and 2005, World Bank's Belgrade office PR Manager Vesna Kostic told Tanjug on Monday.
Within the next month, the World Bank Board of Directors is expected to approve a 160-million-dollar loan to Serbia under
favorable conditions, 80 million of which will be used for restructuring and
privatization of banks and the remaining 80 million for the financing of social programmes, Kostic said.
