MMF imposes depositary to Serbia, Montenegro - Labus
BELGRADE - Yugoslav Prime Minister Miroljub Labus has said that the International Monetary Fund (MMF) could impose the
future National Bank of Serbia as a depositary institution of the Serbian-Montenegrin state union, since it (National Bank of Serbia) has not been defined by the Constitutional Charter.
Labus also said that at the next MMF Managing Board meeting which is scheduled for the beginning of March, a decision would be reached on the payment of the third and fourth
installment amounting to about 130 million US dollars, which has to be
paid to our country as part of the stand-by agreement, and stressed that according to the Constitutional Charter, they would have no one to pay the
installments to.
