Djindjic: Serbia Will Not Finance Montenegrin Independence
Podgorica - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic denied the claims that Serbia would finance the state independence of Montenegro and called them ‘rubbish’, wrote today’s ‘Vijesti’.
Djindjic said that Serbia and Montenegro would give up their part of budget for financing the state community and so ‘each member state would, for the first time ever, be in position to control where the money was going’. An option exists for Serbian Assembly, if it finds that the money is spent wrong way, ‘to deny and block the transfer of that money’.
