Administration cannot bear burden of power supply reforms - Udovicki
BELGRADE - A radical reform of the power supply sector will be resumed in 2003, which implies a modification of the structure of the power consumption, improvement of energy efficiency, introduction of an independent regulator of the energy market, reconstruction of the Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) and Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) enterprises, as well as an international reintegration of energy institutions, Serbian Energy and Mining Minister Kori Udovicki has announced.
Udovicki pointed out in the Monday issue of the Belgrade daily Politika that in the past two years, the annual investments into the reconstruction of the electro-energy sector mounted to 200 million US dollars, which is 50 million dollars more than it had been invested in the whole past decade.
