Delegation of Serbian Government in Davos
Davos - Delegation of Serbian government at World Economic Summit in Davos spoke with IMF deputy director Ann Kruger.
Minister of Finances Bozidar Djelic stated to radio B 92 that IMF would allow two tranches of the stand-by arrangement on some conditions.
He says that IMF team, coming to Belgrade this week, arrives to see when the Serbian budget will be approved. ‘They set the approval of budget as a condition for two, not one tranche. That would enable us to make up for the several-week delay. We now have to adopt the Constitutional Charter and its implementation law. By the end of February - at latest – we have to adopt a new law about Serbian republican budget where we will be able to see the expenses of the community. I am convinced we will soon have a renewed and completely updated program with IMF’, said Djelic.
Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, Minister for Economic Relations with Foreign Countries Goran Pitic and Minister for Commerce and Privatization Aleksandar Vlahovic are also in the delegation.
