Talks on clearing payment claim in Moscow
BELGRADE - Delegations of successor states of former Yugoslavia will meet with the Russian Federation representatives in Moscow Monday to discuss clearing payment claims Yugoslavia has from Russia, as successor of former Soviet Union, amounting to 1.5 billion U.S. dollars as money of account in a clearing payment scheme, Acting Federal Finance Minister Veroljub Dugalic said on Saturday. Dugalic told Tanjug that former Yugoslav republics claim from former Soviet Union about 1.4 billion clearing dollars, while Russia claims from former Yugoslav republics 140 million clearing dollars.
According to Annex C of the Agreement on division of financial assets and debts of former Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenegro will get 38 percent, Croatia 23, Slovenia 16, Bosnia-Herzegovina 15.5 and Macedonia 7.5 percent of the available clearing claim, explained Dugalic, who is also the head of the Yugoslav delegation for talks on succession.
