There is no space for dinar devaluation, but its exchange rate should be discussed
BELGRADE - The market should dictate the exchange rate and I believe that there is not much space for dinar devaluation, Serbian Finance Minister Bozidar Djelic said in a statement published by the Belgrade daily Blic on Saturday.
"I believe we should expect this year a smaller and gradual correction of the dinar rate, and we must not make a mistake, like the one Ante Markovic, and even Avramovic, have made by turning dinar into an untouchable symbol. There should be a debate on the dinar exchange rate, but it has to be conducted well, because this is a sensitive topic for our citizens, just like it is for
Argentineans, since they have already experienced a hyperinflation," said Djelic.
