Serbian Parliament Speaker - First constitution, then elections
Belgrade - Presidential elections in Serbia should be called after passing of new constitution of Serbia in line with the procedure stipulated by that act. This is the stance that prevailed in consultations that Serbian Parliament Speaker Natasa Micic had with chiefs of parliamentary deputy groups. Representatives of Democratic Party of Serbia, Party of Serbian Union and Serbian Radical Party have not accepted invitations to come for consultations.
'Presidential elections in Serbia must be carried out and no consultations about that are required', Dejan Mihajlov, high DSS official said. DSS sent to Natasa Micic a letter warning her that Constitution of Serbia and laws stipulate conduction of presidential elections.
