State inspectors investigate water pollution
KRALJEVO – UNMIK has permitted state inspectors responsible for environmental and water protection to inspect the river Ibar in Kosovo.
The team includes the Serbian Inspector of Water Resources Milos Batalo, Serbian Inspector for Environmental Protection Zoran Vostinic and a representative of the Serbian Weather Service Institute Slobodan Mrvic.
Batalo confirmed that the state inspectors have been taking water samples from certain locations near to the Ibar, adding that the inspectors are cooperating well with UNMIK.
The river Ibar is thought to be polluted with phenol.
