Djindjic: Hard to Meet All Conditions by 31 March
Belgrade - Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic said on Wednesday that the republican authorities would have problems meeting the demands of the US administration by 31 March. The demands were presented on Tuesday by the US Ambassador for War Crimes Pierre-Richard Prosper.
‘I am not an optimist that we could fulfill the conditions by 31 March’, said Djindjic to journalists after the end of the official meeting to republican police.
Djindjic stressed that he ‘did not issue any guarantees to Prosper that Ratko Mladic was not in Serbia’. He added he mentioned during talks with the US diplomat that Serbian government ‘so far did not get any information that would be a reliable lead that Mladic was on Serbia’s territory’.
