Company fetches 1,000 times auction start price
BELGRADE – A Belgrade company was sold today at auction by the Privatization Agency for 204,000 euros, more than a thousand times the start price of 200 euros.
The company, ZIN, was bought by a consortium from the Association of Transporters in International Traffic.
Consortium representative Nedjo Mandic said that ZIN was attractive because it was registered to provide a variety of services.
“It’s 141 square meters in a good, popular spot, however this wasn’t the only important thing for us, rather a whole group of circumstances for which we needed exactly that company,” he said.
Another eight public companies were sold by the Agency at today’s auction, netting the Serbian budget a total of 2.5 million euros.
