Labus: World Bank to Support Transition of Serbia and Montenegro
Belgrade - Federal government deputy Prime Minister Miroljub Labus spoke today to vice president of the World Bank Zhang Shengman about cooperation between that international financial institution and future state community of Serbia and Montengro. They also spoke about further realization of World Bank financial arrangements with our country.
Labus expressed his satisfaction with cooperation of the World Bank and FRY. He pointed out that more than half of the means from the agreement was already sent to FRY, one third of them already realized. He spoke with Zhang about the period between 2002 and 2004. They also discussed permanent forms of cooperation for period from 2005 to 2007.
The talks were also about the social reform programs. As Mr. Zhang said, they mentioned the Constitutional Charter and its effect on future development of FRY-World Bank relations. Zhang added that the World Bank had good relations with FRY in the past period. He assured it was their wish to keep assisting FRY in transition process and continue the successful cooperation with the future community too.
