Commission adopts Charter legislation in full
BELGRADE – The joint Constitutional Commission late last night adopted in full legislation to implement the Constitutional Charter of the new state of Serbia and Montenegro.
Commission member Dragoljub Micunovic told media that the full text of the legislation and all its provisions were adopted “by a large majority of votes” at the end of a marathon sitting.
“There are a few technical details in the law that we still have to deal with and then the legislation will be submitted to the Serbian and Montenegrin parliaments for adoption, tomorrow or the day after,” he added.
The legislation still leaves the question of distribution of property from Yugoslavia to be dealt with.
Micunovic said that a commission would be appointed to evaluate federal property and establish principles for its division.
