Serbia will not import electricity, EPS to export again in 2003
BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy Minister of Mining and Energy Slobodan Ruzic told Tanjug on Thursday that no new contracts on the import of electricity would be signed in 2003 and that after a long pause, the Serbian Electric Power Industry (EPS) would again export electricity this summer.
"Though EPS will import electricity this year, this will only be in keeping with the obligations set out in the old, previously signed contracts," Ruzic said and added that last year's contract on the import of electricity referred to 1.89 billion kWh in the period between October 2002 and April 2003.
