Public opinion research about rating of politicians
Belgrade -Strategic Marketing agency conducted research of public opinion in the period December 21-24, 2002.
Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica is still the most desirable candidate for the president of Serbia (21 per cent). The second is Miroljub Labus, Yugoslav Deputy Premier (11 per cent) and the third is Vojislav Seselj, leader of Serbian Radical Party (9 per cent).
However, 43 per cent of citizens do not have their favorable presidential candidate.
According to this research 34 per cent of citizens have positive opinion about Kostunica while 32 per cent of them have negative opinion. It is interesting, that Bozidar Djelic, Serbian Financial Minister is more popular than Kostunica (36 per cent) as well as Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia Mladjan Dinkic (35 per cent).
Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic is still a politician that citizens have the most polarized opinions about. Thus 24 per cent of citizens have positive opinion about Djindjic while 50 per cent of them have negative opinion.
The rating of former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic has not changed (16 per cent positive and 63 per cent negative).
As regards political parties, DSS is still enjoying the largest support (24 per cent). Then follow DS (12 per cent) and SRS (somewhat above 10 per cent).
