Budget for Army three times smaller than needed
Belgrade - Chief-of-staff of Yugoslav Army Administration for finances said that the assets provided for defense in 2003 amounted to 132 billion Dinars what, according to him is three times less than necessary.
'That amount will be sufficient to cover salaries, pensions, food for soldiers, electricity, water, clothing of soldiers and maintenance of combat technique. It should be openly said that another difficult year is ahead of us. We intend to continue the process of reorganization and transformation of the complete defense system and the Army', this official said.
