Prime Minister champion in giving 'false promises'
Belgrade - Visitors to Internet site of B92 Radio of Belgrade have chosen as 'the false promise of the year', the promise that Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic gave on March 15 last year. He then said that 'until the end of the year we are going to have a federal state that will function, that is cheap and in which the authorities are clearly defined'.
The second is 'false promise' by Yugoslav President Vojislav Kostunica given on June 15 last year. Kostunica said that 'the issue of Constitutional Charter and its passing have to be settled first if I am to compete as presidential candidate'.
The third place took Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic with his statement given on May 15, 2002. 'I shall submit my resignation if Yugoslavia is not admitted to the membership of he Council of Europe until the end of the year', Svilanovic said.
