Djindjic meets new Brazilian President
BELGRADE - Newly elected Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula de Silva has said that Brazil would in future pay more attention to establishing and improving cooperation with Yugoslavia, said the Federal Foreign Ministry.
De Silva thanked the Yugoslav delegation for attending his inauguration.
He said Yugoslavia and Brazil have a true friendship and pointed out the great mutual respect and understanding that the two countries have for each other.
The Yugoslav delegation was headed by Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic.
Djindjic and Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim discussed possibilities for improving cooperation between the two countries.
Serbian Prime Minister also met with representatives of Peru, Argentina, Venezuela, Cuba and South African Republic, said the Federal Ministry.
