Election decision by February 8
BELGRADE – The speaker of Serbia’s Parliament, Natasa Micic, said today that she would decide by February 8 on when new presidential elections should be called.
“There’s a lot of time between now and February 8. I will decide on the elections after appropriate political consultations,” she said.
Micic, who is Serbia’s acting president in the interim period, said she would deal only with current affairs in that role and would take a conservative approach to her constitutional powers as acting president.
