Dinkic 'old regime's greatest collaborator': Mihajlovic
BELGRADE – Embattled police minister Dusan Mihajlovic today lashed back at allegations against him by National Bank Governor Mladjan Dinkic.
Responding to Dinkic's claim that he had been an associate of Slobodan Milosevic, Mihajlovic told TV B92 that Milosevic's real collaborators had been Dinkic and the people around him.
"No greater collaborator of the old regime exists than this gentlemen and his associates, not to mention their families.
"I think that Mr. Dinkic has a problem which he needs to resolve for himself rather than across the backs of the police who have been working responsibly," said the police minister.
"I think that the governor of the National Bank should be dealing with other matters and be behaving in a rather different way than what we see from Mladjan Dinkic every day," he added.
Mihajlovic's New Democracy partner was a former government coalition partner of Milosevic's Socialists, while Mihajlovic himself was a deputy prime minister under the regime.
