Greek, Yugoslav central banks to sign cooperation deal
ATHENS - Greece's central bank will sign a cooperation memorandum with the National Bank of Yugoslavia in a bid to broaden its supervisory role of Greek banks expanding into the Balkan country, said this Bank today.
"A complete picture of Greek banks operating in Yugoslavia is secured and of Yugoslavian banks operating in our country," the Bank of Greece said in a statement.
Greece's largest bank, National and EFG Eurobank are among local banks which have interests in Yugoslavia.
The deal will be signed Friday in Belgrade.
