IMF 'waiting on adoption of Charter'
BELGRADE – Yugoslavia’s three-year agreement with the International
Monetary Fund, due for review in January, will depend on agreement
between Serbia and Montenegro on implementing the Constitutional
Charter of the new, joint state, Miroljub Labus said today.
The deputy federal prime minister said that it was essential the
legislation implementing the Charter solved a number of financial
institutions.
If it did not, he said, it could endanger Yugoslavia’s position at
the IMF board meeting on January 8.
